The 3rd Memorial Concert
2010
Appreciation for the contribution to the Circle Wind Scholarship Fund. A total of $372.20 was received during the concert, and DVD sales will contribute further. The selection of this year's recipient has been made by Mr. Gregory Singer and Mr. Shirota, with the announcement already made. Support like yours empowers aspiring musicians.

The Great East Japan Earthquake on 3. 11
2011
Planned as the "Japan-U.S. Choral Festival," Carnegie's concert turned into a charity event after the Great East Japan Earthquake on March 11, 2011. The "Hagi" choir from Sendai and U.S.-based Alexandria Haronizer performed energetically, raising over $40,000 for disaster relief, directly handed to Sendai's mayor by the delegation.

The 4th Memorial Concert
2011
Thank you very much for your compassion and generosity. Sendai Relief Fund have collected the donation during the 4th Annual Circle Wind Concert in the amount of $778.25 and 2,000 Japanese Yen. The donation will be forwarded to either Miyagi Prefecture or Sendai City in Japan later.

The 5th Memorial Concert

The 2nd Japan-U.S. Chorus Festival
2013
From Fukushima to The World; Donation collected during Carnegie Concert on October 19, 2013 was delivered by Mike Shirota, Concert Director, to Mr. Taira of Channel Square, a NPO who are trying to build an Indoor Park for children in Fukushima on December 30, 2013. The donated amount was $5,340. Ms. Miyake, Chairperson of Fukushima Mothers Chorus also attended.

The 7th Memorial Concert
2014
We thank you for your big contribution. During the concert we received the donation in the amount of $1,354.33 from the audience. Circle Wind NPO will match up the amount to this and will deliver the amount equally to Iidate-Mura in Fukushima and Ishinomaki "Terakoya" school in Miyagi next month.

The 8th Memorial Concert
2015
The donation collected during the 8th Annual 9.11 Circle Wind Concert in the amount of $860.75 was hand-delivered in cash to Ms. Terada of Tatlor Anderson Memorial Fund on September 28, 2015.

Donation Delivered to Ishinomaki Terakoya!
2014
The TOMO Japan Choral Harmony Tour in Fukushima and Ishinomaki was a success. We were warmly welcomed by the Fukushima Mothers Chorus Association on Oct. 12 and donated 100,000 Yen to Mayor Kanno of Iitate-Mura during our mini-concert. We also donated the same amount to Ms. Ota of Ishinomaki "Terakoya" on Oct. 13, where we met young Kimura again, known for his Haiku recitations in Spain.

Supporting Education: A Visit to Sendai's Inaugural Steiner School

On April 13, we had the honor of visiting the inaugural Steiner School in Sendai, the first of its kind in the Tohoku region. During our visit, we made a donation of 400,000 yen.

Supporting Hitoyoshi: A Journey of Donation and Discovery
2016
On November 28, we visited Hitoyoshi City, Kumamoto Prefecture, where we handed over a total donation of 480,147 yen (US$4,572.83) collected from the 9.11 Kaze no Kan concert and the 11.13 Together for Kumamoto concert with Cheetah. Hitoyoshi City, known for its beauty and charm, offered us insights into its culture, including its renowned ayu (sweetfish) and shochu (distilled spirit). We also discovered that Tetsuji Kawakami, a baseball icon, was born here. The Hitoyoshi Nebuka team warmly welcomed us, treating us to a taiko drum performance and sharing their excitement for the upcoming national competition in Kobe. We'll be cheering for them from New York!

Together for Kumamoto with Chita
2016
Ms. Suizenji attended the "Keirokai" at the Nikkei Association Hall the day after the concert, where she expressed gratitude to over one hundred attendees and received a list of donations from two concerts: the 9/11 Circle Wind Concert and the Together for Kumamoto with Chita concert. Both sets of donations were collected by members of the Circle Wind Children's Choir during the events. The list is to be handed over to the governor of Kumamoto Prefecture upon Ms. Suizenji's return to Japan.

The 10th Memorial Concert
2017
The funds raised during the 10th Annual Concert amounted to $4,115.22. Of this total, $2,115.22 was graciously contributed to a dedicated relief fund established by the Japanese Chamber of Commerce and Industry of New York (JCC Fund) to aid victims affected by Hurricanes Harvey and Irma.
On October 27, 2017, the donation check was personally delivered to Mr. Sato, the esteemed secretary-general of the JCC, in a gesture of solidarity and support.
The remaining donations collected during the 10th Circle Wind Concert, totaling $2,000, are allocated as follows:
$1,000 to the Twin Tower Orphan Fund.
$1,000 to the Michinoku Mirai Fund.

The 11th Memorial Concert
2018
The generous donation of 250,000 Japanese Yen, collected during the 11th Circle Wind Concert, was personally delivered to Ms. Shimura, President of the Kokoro Smile Project, situated in the Hebita district of Ishinomaki, Miyagi, on October 16, 2018. This amount, equivalent to $1,154, primarily comprises contributions from the attentive audience of the 9.11 concert, supplemented by additional funds matched by the NPO Circle Wind Memorial

At the ‘Bridge of Dreams’: A Visit to Team Watahoi in Ishinomaki

On March 23, on our way to the Departure Ceremony for Spain held in Onagawa, we stopped by Team Watahoi, a local support organization in Ishinomaki.
Mr. and Mrs. Endo devote themselves daily to providing emotional care for children and adults affected by the disaster.
This time, we were joined by Mr. Masataka Hasekura, the 14th head of the Hasekura family. We took a photo together in front of “Yume no Kakehashi” (“Bridge of Dreams”), a wooden artwork handcrafted by Mr. Endo.
As a small gesture of support from the Circle Wind NPO Concert, we presented a donation of 100,000 yen to Ms. Ayako Endo.

The 12th Memorial Concert
2019
Donation collected during the 2019 Annual Circle Wind Concert in the amount of $2,118.22 (Japanese Yen 230,000) was delivered to Ms. Michiko Ota, Managing Director of Ishinomaki Hibi Kodomo Shimbun at a Japanese restaurant in Sendai, Japan on Sep 17, 2019.

The 13th Memorial Concert
2020
At the 13th Circle Wind Concert held in Sendai on November 5th, donations totaling $3,372.76 were presented to the Japanese American Lion's Club in New York. The Japanese American Lions continue their support for healthcare workers, fire departments, police stations, and senior facilities in New York City amidst the COVID-19 pandemic. We hope this contribution will assist in their activities.
